That was my response when one of the US F1 venues called to ask if I would be purchasing tickets. Their response was “…that F1, not us…”. My response was “… then pass on my ‘No’ response…”.

Why?
The teams & FOM aren’t fighting against Andretti personally or Americans, they just don’t want an 11th team or the FIA to get their way. They’re resisting other new entries too.
But if it were specific to Andretti’s entry, how would declining US interest help his cause?

Yea its pretty crazy. Full hit piece-government like propaganda type level. But they want America sooooooooooo bad.
Toto does NOT want them in. He is playing all his cards. The man is a billionaire. My tin foil hat is on but damn, that guy is up to things.

I always view F1 as an engineering contest, with a drivers job not to screw up and Indy as more driver centric. Not to say the best drivers aren’t in f1 though, they have to be to make all that engineering money a safe investment. But the race is usually about qualifying
