I have been getting questions regarding safety of CT after this recently published paper in JAMA & here you can find @RadiologyACR response. Medical decisions should always weigh risks against benefits using solid evidence. This article exaggerates the risks of CT, relying on.
Americans should not forgo necessary, life-saving medical imaging – including CT scans – and should continue to discuss the benefits and risks of these exams with their healthcare providers. See our statement on the JAMA CT scan radiation study:
