If you are a fan of unexpected, #Spitz #nevi never disappoint. These benign melanocytic lesions have many faces, including #melanoma-like presentations. In this #paper by Brunette et al. investigate #starburst and #stardust pattern in childhood.

Dermoscopy is not only used for enhancing the diagnostic confidence, but may also be useful for monitoring the treatment effectiveness. A research paper by Stahlie et al. evaluates dermoscopic follow up of metastatic melanoma treated with talimogene laherparepvec. Interesting!.

Linear BCCs are really peculiar cancers following the skin tension lines. A series of these rare pigmented tumors has recently been characterized in a paper by @DrCristianMD et al. in Dermatology Practical and Conceptual.

Polarized #dermatoscopy may reveal critical clues to #skincancer. Interestingly, the paper by Chin Whybrew, @PietkiewiczPP, @IhorKohUa, @akay_bengu, Justin C Chia and @CliffRosendahl shows that not all polarized-light devices display these structures.
