I wanted no matter the content or genre. We would drive from Texas to Cali often and we’d take turns deciding what songs we were gonna play. We’d always clean or cook to dj size speakers. She’d always on my birthdays blast las mañanitas...

This year I’m gonna see from my car through a window at the hospital and play las mañanitas on the phone and be hopeful she can hear it and pray she able to say a word or two. I don’t say this for sympathy I say this to say enjoy the small things with those you love.
