When using Copilot, choosing the Claude Sonnet 4 model works best. It is definitely better in terms of editing and refactoring code. Organising folders, splitting files, etc. The previous issue I had was only with chatgpt model.

It was really messy. So many syntaxes are now obsolete to the point that I think it is going to take too much time to migrate. Is it worth spending that much time to fix every single page one by one? I don't think so.

Last year, I looked at the old codebase and thought, what if I upgrade the versions of Rails and React to make this software usable again? Perhaps, I could open-source it. Upgrading Rails was easy peasy. But React?.

Why do people love Rails?. Because it is simple? Easy to maintain? saves a lot of time?. I observed something recently. We built a product 10 years ago for internal project management. We used Rails and React at the time (it is still my choice of tech stack).

I asked copilot to organize my code into component directories and rename files. Guess what? . It messed up. Created empty files and removed old ones. Now I am asking it to restore them from git history. #vibecoding.

Lovable is so good in creating UI Frontend. But it is limited in terms of tech stack. For eg: it is not able to generate Ruby on Rails code. But is great for Next js or React.
