If you're heading here for the @humble_onion supper club tonight, I'd imagine you're in for a treat. Two courses for Ā£24.50 is ridiculously good value for (easily) some of the best cooking in the area, isn't it?

Great watch this, a few friends among it
We are building a football club but more importantly leaving legacy for generations to come. Without the club's that have laid the way before us we wouldn't be able to do what we do but we just hope we can do it our way.. The Canton Way.. #WeAreCardiff #CardiffClubs

Pontcanna's Poca comes from the modest mastermind behind Humble Onion in Dinas Powys & Barry's Alium, replacing what was for many years La Cuina (I visited just before it shut). A domed discus of golden focaccia provided an auspicious start w coldpressed oil & sweet black vinegar

Rarebit with white crab and samphire. Last night from The Humble Onion. (I was fed in return for a sizeable Poca-shaped favour, so unsure if that's a straight trade for my time and knowledge, or an #invitation. Just saying.) Either way, a beauty of a dish.

We're now loosing 50+ pubs a month. Meanwhile, gas is half the price it was in Oct 21. 5 x cheaper than March 22. 7 x cheaper than Aug 22. The Energy firms are ripping the heart out of our High Streets. @ofgem CEO/Board should resign or be sacked.

...and OK, I was being slightly mischievous here. But I'm a huge admirer of @humblecheff cooking and I couldn't be happier that he is bringing his skilful, unfussy, flavour-packed food to this area. It's a brilliant location for him and I can't wait to see him fly.
Wish someone would come and make something beautiful happen here. Lovely spec.
