We have started a DEI committee, that will continue with running the DEI luncheon, and has also started both a caregiver awards and a travel intended to support researchers from under-represented groups.

We're excited to announce that CCN2025 has successfully launched our new proceedings track, accepting just 25% of 104 submissions—creating a diamond-level open access venue that's highly selective with an accessible poster track (~610 posters).

Our alternative framework: The visual system processes naturally co-occurring patterns rather than isolated features, with organization emerging from environmental statistics and computational efficiency constraints.

Key evidence against modular organisation:.* No proof from Neurophysiology or Neuroimaging. * Truly selective visual deficits are rare or nonexistent. * Deep neural networks process vision without explicit binding mechanism.

We argue (as others) that the "binding problem" (how separately processed features combine into coherent percepts) is an artifact of our theoretical assumptions rather than a real computational challenge for the brain.
