Speaking of, Plusle and Minun are found on Route 6 in both Unova games, just outside Driftveil City through swarms.
Route 6 is also near Chargestone Cave. The similarly named Chargestone Cavern houses Plusle and Minun in SV.

Magmortar is a trade evolution. So he needs someone to trade with. Therefore, I head canon that his first Magnortar was a trade with Lacey and that’s how his crush on her started.
