I was crossing the street at Liberty Market in Lahore when a man stopped his car to ask if I wanted to come with him for the night.
Another man tucked a paper in my bag with his number on it. He came that close to me.
As I ate dinner alone in a cafe, a man ogled me constantly.
this is so disgusting, it’s crazy bc this is what we really deal wit. i really want y’all men to take perspective of this. can never go home or anywhere without being cat called or followed.
He then followed me to my hotel without me knowing.
I've gotten catcalled by various men in countless instances.
My only experience of traveling in a public bus in Karachi entails a man constantly touching my arm. I was 12.
A man on a bike touched my neck in a moving rickshaw, then came close enough to tell me I was beautiful and smiled as my rickshaw drive drove past him.
My cousin tried to sexually assault me in my sleep, only stopped and ran to the balcony when I woke up. I was 14.
Another cousin would constantly poke his finger between my legs as all of us cousins played together. I feared walking ahead of him because he would not leave a chance.
Years later, a cousin said he tried to assault her in her sleep. No one believed her, and was called a slut.
Instances I have never told anyone because I have seen how women around me are not believed, and are dismissed, victim blamed.
This is an everyday reality of women, everywhere. On the streets, in our homes, in our workplaces.
Tell me how women have all the rights now?
No one has to be brave to exist in the world. No one has to be strong to survive. Everyone has the right to feel safe. It's just sad that so many of us will never enjoy the freedom to live and feel secure as we navigate personal and public spaces.

can not condemn enough this virus of eve teasing which has gathered pandemic proportions world over.Although it could be attributed directly to the twain of male lust and social permissiveness generally but in our case the malaise is deeper.
@hijakamran
See hajira your family needs to pay attention on kids seems like their parents have not taught them anything respecting their cousin , We used to tell my kids right from the start that she is your sister not cousin , grooming him well will make change
