NI General surgery review 30/06/2022 NI popl’n needs this change to provide equity of access to up-to-date gen surg emerg & elective treatment & facilities. Necessitates fewer emerg surg centres & more travel for all to receive better more efficient care.

Irelands health service (HSE) has just mandated FFP2 respirators be worn by all healthcare workers in clinical encounters, and patients can be provided FFP2 and wear them where tolerated. Previously FFP2 was an alternative to surgical masks for HCWs working in Covid stream
