I'm grateful as ever to play a part on the Aspen team. When life forced remote work, the team put lessons to use. What took shape is Playspace—a platform that combines digital collaboration tools with shared spaces. Work's more fun when it's play. More at https://t.co/TA6bXLl7g4

When so much in the world feels ominous, I’d like to channel this conductor’s vibes at the 7:38 mark, take a deep breath, and march on. ✌🏽 https://t.co/GrOjHyrlKs

1. Make sure you're registered to vote. 2. Vote as early as your state allows you to. 3. Familiarize yourself with the instructions for how you're voting. 4. If you're voting by mail, return your ballot ASAP. 5. If you're voting in person, have a plan for when and where. 👊

We can now read the Imperial College report on COVID-19 that led to the extreme measures we've seen in the US this week. Read it; it's terrifying. I'll offer a summary in this thread; please correct me if I've gotten it wrong. https://t.co/AwE2cHIbeJ

In our family we teach “I want” statements—not to raise bossy kids, but people who know what they want, learn to communicate what they want, are open to being reminded of higher desires over impulsive reactions, and do all of this in the context of others.

I'm lucky to work with amazing people—the kind who streamline feelings of empowerment, creativity, and collaboration. How? Among other things, a dogged commitment to improvement, transparency, follow through, and respect. 1/3

I try to remind myself of this when considering how I spend my time and organize my kids’ time. A bit more on the topic: https://t.co/Jr2aRTt90g

While one might associate daydreaming with being distracted and unproductive, the opposite might be true. Daydreaming can actually increase your working memory, make you more creative, and much more.

Downside: Daydreaming can distract focus & harm mental health (e.g. negative rumination.) Upside: Daydreaming helps us explore new ideas, improves memory, consolidates learning, promotes focus & creativity, can lower blood pressure & increase empathy.

California has more people than the 20 smallest states combined - but they have 40 Senators (out of 100); California has 2. That, in a nutshell, is why the longest serving (ever) Congressman John Dingell (of MI-19) calls for the abolition of the Senate.

I bask in the simple, descriptive writing of E.B. White’s Charlotte’s Web. Bedtime reading with my kids has never been more fun.
