Check out this fabulous work from the @waterslab_UNC (Both past and present)! Through use of high throughput screening, genetic code expansion, and energy decomposition analysis, we were able to challenge paradigms surrounding Kme3 reader protein binding.

Our team (with @group_maynard and @houk1000) reports the development of the fastest known abiotic Cys bioconjugation enabled by organometallic Au(III) reagents. Rates are over 10^4 M^-1s^-1, which allows for rapid bioconjugation at picoM concentrations! See our preprint for more

It feels truly unreal to start wrapping up this chapter of my life. I'm so grateful for everyone who I've met and has helped guide me along the way!

The BARE MINIMUM universities should do for fellows is to INFORM them that no income tax is being withheld from their paychecks. Better: Provide guidance on estimated tax (like my workshop). Best: Withhold the income tax!! It IS possible (my alma mater did). #AcademicTwitter
