Following an investigation by CAF, a new LGBTQ+ staff guide at University College London is under fire for promoting gender ideology, as critics warn that gender-critical academics still fear speaking freely despite new laws safeguarding academic freedom. https://t.co/2Elq1ms9eO

“Him”, or Sensory Overload: The Film, wouldn’t make the peewee league. It’s a taxingly indulgent exercise in style over substance with obnoxious cinematography, weird-for-weirds-sake imagery, poor music, and a wooden Tyriq Withers. Marlon Wayans has moments, but this sucks. 2/5

It’s fascinating that Steven Spielberg made “A.I.: Artificial Intelligence” and “Minority Report” only 1 year apart. Both show dark sci-fi futures with heavy themes, but Spielberg’s voice and execution of the latter feels so much stronger to me. “MR” is a 5/5 for me. Watch it.

Something nice I’ll give “A.I.: Artificial Intelligence”: In terms of CG and effects work, it’s immaculate. 24 years on and every single effects shot, robot part, or otherwise digitally-created visual looks as tactile as anything in our real world. Major Kudos to the FX guys.

I think “Fantastic Four: First Steps” is going to be one of my cozy movies once it hits DisneyPlus. I liked how small-scale it was despite a giant planet-eating alien running around and the team feels like regular people.

Marlon Wayans’ reaction to “Him” receiving widespread criticism is great: telling people to see and judge it for themselves. Not saying people who dislike it are wrong, but instead that what doesn’t fly for 1 person May cruise for someone else. Kudos for that response.
