parasite eve was made 4 me. we got gorgeous prerendered backgrounds, genuinely creepy cutscenes, a killer soundtrack heavy on choral and opera music with some killer atmospheric jungle thrown into the mix, and most important of all, a beautiful blonde protagonist. nomura cooked.

@Heppuplays @blacknredtext The multiplayer barely had any effects it's primarily the prerendered videos, 2 extra dupes of cutscenes and a 5gb duplicate of audio for all 3 audio languages, as well as a 10 extra duplicates of all of UI, it's done in a VERY stupid way

@RinoTheBouncer Nothing that came out this year, I'm not even sure I bothered with any new release tbh. But I did really like Stasis: Bone Totem, it's an isometric point and click adventure with a really good story and lovely prerendered graphics.

using that image from dkbanaza is like comparing a prerendered and highly detailed image to an ingame screen shot because yknow it sorta is
still not a fan of how the spinoffs make dkโs fur looks very paper thin and cheap. the difference in quality between bananza and a game like fever kinda highlights my problem with how spinoffs have been treating his new design

@iSaumya Prerendered pages becoming out of date, is something to be aware of. See advice here: https://t.co/f3PCJjol2B Is it possible you hover over a link (prerendering it), then update cart, then hover over link and click through but earlier prerender is used?

@NightSkyKing_ 13 really makes it apparent on why 7r1 looks/is designed that way just taking advantage of the crit it received like adding explorable towns, side quests, etc. like the way they use prerendered bgs to sell the scale of midgar was so so similar to how they handled eden bg in ch 12

3/ This command revealed the issue instantly: curl -A "googlebot" https://t.co/LYgqk0PZBf Instead of XML, Googlebot was getting prerendered output. Our AI layer was silently intercepting it.

@ThomasR71437323 @alchemillatears Fixed cameras are fantastic, I just feel like they have to be the primary perspective to really work. Every shot needs to be exactly what the player needs to see; nothing more, nothing less. Works best with the prerendered backgrounds, too.

@Kaorumitsurugi So this is all true, but it ignores the actual reason for it, which is that one is using prerendered assets designed for one angle with simple, single-color polygon characters, and the other is running in a real-time engine with a free camera. It's not designed for still shots.

@Phantom_TheGame SMRPG used prerendered graphics, it was not pixel art.

@Farawaydream_er @StormslayerDev I still have not heard the reason why prerendered destruction suddenly makes a beautiful game not beautiful anymore. If you can't give an answer to my question I've previously asked, define "beauty".

@tunetheweb The doc says: > Updating a prerendered pages is the recommended approach to continue to use prerendered pages while avoiding confusion to users. But don't say how.

@methdeatal_ prerendered background, fixed perspective, or fixed camera prerendered background means something a bit different but all 3 usually work for what youre trying to say

@TheGoodPerc SHf is done dirty by comparisons to classic titles because games like SH2, 3 and 4 had quite impressive camerawork all around and SH1 and 2 did amazing with lighting in the prerendered cutscenes.

@TitaevRamadan @WaldenGann @TheOnlyZath @LogothX @7Negative_Creep Curiously that's also not Donkey Kong 64, but a prerendered background from DKC2
