Tota hela I think we have officials on the ground who we can safely deduce that their heads are screwed on correctly when it comes to handling of this FMD threat reaching National level. There is a sure light at the end of the tunnel..!
His Honor the VP gives me so much confidence on the fight against FMD. The DVS officers on the ground in North East have been working very hard & there is light at the end of the tunnel.

@jsteenhuisen Well done and good luck in your quest to illuminate FMD in SA. We wish you all the best and in good speed..! 🧐👊🏾 But while you’re at it, maybe also look at establishing National Zones to work towards cordoning off a zone that may detect an FMD threat in the future.

Commendable initiative by Serule West Farmers Association this weekend fixing and replacing the disease control fence between Zones 6 and 8. They covered over 5km in 2 days (Friday and Saturday). No task is too daunting especially when your livelihood depends on it.
