And Omni is more than just an app builder. It can also answer any business question about your data using advanced reasoning, and do LLM mapreduce across large datasets to understand patterns and trends:. → "What are the biggest customer pain points across 10K support tickets?"

LLMs are fuzzy microprocessors. for 2 years i've been thinking about this - what if we had fuzzy compilers? fuzzy MapReduce? fuzzy design systems? what if we could program in plain english?. i’ll be exploring here:. models are finally good enough to build.

Spanner is just one of the big things Jeff has been a co-creator of. MapReduce is one of my personal favorites since I've used it for handling over 100 billion token order data back in 2016. Distributed training is just one application of map reduce if you think about it.

Great to see Spanner recognized with this year's ACM SIGMOD Systems Award "for reimagining relational data management to enable serializability with external consistency at global scale". I was fortunate to be able to work on the first versions of Spanner with awesome colleagues.

Data driven biology is a playground for curious engineers. Probably the next frontier for systems software / cloud infra. Substrate for next wave of foundational contributions to computing (a la MapReduce + BigQuery). Hiring one engineer to join our team of 5. You will learn

Infrastructure for Multi-Agent Systems.@koomen . Multi-agent systems are powerful but hard to build. Think agentic MapReduce with thousands of subagents running in parallel. We're looking for folks who've felt the pain of scaling these systems and want to make operating fleets of

Big Data has evolved dramatically over the last decade here’s how it transformed the industry:. 🔹 2012: The early days Hadoop & MapReduce ruled. Processing was batch-heavy, slow, and complex. 🔹 2015–2018: The rise of Apache Spark & Storm enabled real-time data processing.

I've been reading the MapReduce paper by Google. The language in it is so simple and concise, you can tell it was written by someone working in the industry, and not a pure academic.

In 2011, Google built a SQL Engine on top of MapReduce, which ran over 10,000 queries across 1.5 PB of data and powered Google Ads. This weekend, I am reading a 2011 paper from Google titled Tenzing which is a SQL engine built on top of MapReduce. This paper laid the.
