Day 17 of #100DaysOfCode Completed my half century number contribution on GitHub, 49 of them are from last 15 days. Roman to integer question solved on leetcode. Did some progress by initializing buttons, Text-view, editText etc in the Android project of Journal using Firebase.

I am not sure if it's Compose but the EditText behaves abnormally in the revamped Google Play Developer Console app. Steps 1. Reply to a review and write some text. 2. Tap backspace, it will do nothing or works on multiple taps. 3. Long tap to fix (clear all). #AndroidDev

I was working with TextField in Compose, but I wanted no padding. After searching for a while without finding a suitable solution, I went back to using the old EditText in Views ❤️. Within just 2 minutes, it was functioning perfectly and meeting my requirements.

While maintaining old code bases you come across properties that seem not to fit in space time continuum. I came across `android:ems`. I couldn't locate it in docs so had to guess what it meant Turns out, it's just the total number of letter `M`s you can fit in one EditText😅

The Android SDK doesn't agree with Android lint. Apparently, the default size of an EditText View in Android is not big enough. Like... What? 😅

某スーパー銭湯のアプリ、登録画面でお名前入力欄見つけるのに30秒かかった。 黒いところがEditTextとは思わんやん… 更にはチェックボックスの新解釈を見せつけられるしクソUIの見本市かな😇

結論から言うと、Xperiaでの日本語入力をサポートするならCompose 1.7に上げるのは避けるべきですな…別の不具合でEditTextはANRを引き起こすので、現状で打てる手が無い
