Today came across something known as a blockchain db. I had always known of SQL and NoSQL, but never knew something of this sorts existed too. Was going through @BigchainDB's docs, and although I've still got a lot to dig into, it does feel interesting... do check it out once.

Learnt this the hard way the more global variables you use in a smart contract, the fatter (and costlier) it gets. Gas ↑ Deployment cost ↑ Efficiency ↓ Sometimes, it’s smarter to offload to a blockchain DB (like BigchainDB) or just… keep it lean.
