the reason india actually could dwell into spirituality in the times before was that there was an abundance of resources available at all times. you could walk out in a jungle & survive off of fruit, find a stream to drink water from. India has always been an abundant country+
I think the reason that we Indians have the most deep and high level spirituality is because life is so miserable here that you literally need opium grade spirituality to survive.
