@CastleGrief Slapchop is a great, easy, fast technique for getting minis done and on the table. I painted all 6 of these in under an hour. Otherwise there are lots of vintage metal minis available on eBay already painted, though the quality varies of course.

Slapchop in a nutshell: prime the miniature black, hit it with a white drybrush, then one pass over that with speed paints. It's very fast and easy. I did all 6 of these with slapchop in under an hour total. They're not winning any awards but they look good enough on the table!
The main thing that miniature painters who hate slapchop don't get is that many people want minis at an acceptable tabletop standard, but also want to spend their precious time doing something else. Their hobby is gaming, not painting.
