Severe (G4) geomagnetic storm conditions observed following solar flare coronal mass ejection impact at 10:15 CT. K index now at 8. Aurora should be visible from much of the US where skies are clear. #science #astronomy #amateurradio #hamradio #solarweather #solarwx #aurora

Decent M4 flare just occurred a minute ago, keep watching this region! 15% chance of an x-class flare today. Watch as it moves in the earth strike zone as well! #solarwx #spacewx

-Minor Epilepsy Warning- Close-up & detailed view of the Eruptive X3.33 Flare that occurred from AR13869 (old 13842) early this morning. This flare delivered a likely glancing blow CME to Earth, expected to hit this weekend. #solarwx

Strong M3.82 Flare just occurred from AR13883, which has shown very rapid growth and increasing complexity. We could see some nice solar flare action within the next several days. #solarwx

Quite an eruption toward the West limb of the Sun this afternoon. This seems to be responsible for an ongoing S1 Solar Radiation Storm. Both 50MeV and 100MeV protons are rising as well. #solarwx

A Major Far-side Flare has occurred just off the West limb (rotating away from Earth). Quite a fast large CME, with a Solar Radiation Storm underway, already up to S1 levels. Geomagnetic storm chances are low. #solarwx

G3 Geomagnetic Storm is in progress at this time as activity is increasing from a brief lull. Those in Northern Europe/Scandinavia will have viewing potential (barring clouds)! #solarwx #auroras

AR3947 (NE limb) is a very active region, with already 2 X1+ flares today, and the region does continue to be in a phase of growth. Could be interesting! #solarwx

We've had M-class solar flux for the past 6 hours, and now have finally dropped below the M floor and are back into C-class flux. The sun is very active and could still pop major flares within the next few days. #solarwx

A very complex set of solar flares occurred early this morning, beginning around 06 UTC, and is still ongoing. The Peak flux was X1.86, which was an eruptive flare, followed by 3 more M-level flares. #solarwx
