The small progress that has been made will inevitably be undone if we don't address the recruitment & retention of CS teachers. Lack of CS teachers means lack of access in a subject that is yet to be a core subject & already has no equity of access. #SaveComputingScience

"Has any CS department successfully defended keeping their CS class size to a max of 20?" Unfortunately, we are hearing CS classes more & more going up to 30. Has anyone managed to successfully plead the case to stay at 20? #SaveComputingScience #TogetherWeCanAchieveMore

A great opportunity for teachers delivering Computing Science across both primary and secondary schools in Scotland to share their views on the challenges facing the subject, exchange good practice, and contribute ideas and solutions for the future. #SaveComputingScience

We need ‘strategic interventions’ to arrest decline, says computing science teaching campaigner. Toni Scullion says latest teacher census numbers are "alarming" for the subject, but recruitment issues can be solved with the right policies ⬇️ https://t.co/eP0QQcZxeB

I reckon the best way to #SaveComputingScience and recruit the number of CS teachers we need is to offer Retro eSports. Imagine if you could teach kids how to excel at Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, Space Invaders etc? The ITE courses would be flooded with applicants! 😂 @CompSciScot

I can't wait to share this! The dashboard has the data from 1986 across all traditional STEM subjects including teacher data as well. I'm sure this will be useful for those with an interest in other STEM subjects as well. #SaveComputingScience
