The way Assam police under Himanta Biswa Sarma has deployed sedition to criminalize journalism is telling. Absurd FIR after FIR which, btw, is bound to lead to acquittal few years down the line. Meanwhile, process is punishment. Constitutional challenge remains pending in court.

Looks like the average Indian is more disturbed by what a former Supreme Court judge tweets because he loves to troll in his free time, than the real issues facing the Supreme Court today. Sitting judges get away with worse on a daily basis and we don't bat an eyelid.

Why?.I went to a premier school in Kolkata and only average to below than average students sat for Law Colleges at least in 2004. Some were even held back a year or two. Most have good thriving practice. Avg ones went to Nujs & Nalsar. Good ones always went to Medicine or Eng.
I used to think all Supreme Court lawyers were suave, articulate, composed and fairly objective in their writings and communications. But following your account over the last 12 months has disabused me of that notion with great prejudice.
