@TheShook215 @nyjets76forlife @shivlestat You're proabably right. Microbudget 'Oscar films' with zero marketing budget routinely make little-to-no money at the box office. IMDb *any* actor, and you'll find a list of films you've never seen (or heard of). Which is okay. Not every movie is AVATAR or THE AVENGERS.

Reminder- It is perfectly fine to ask your peers to volunteer on your microbudget film over a weekend. Feed them well. Make sure you have a reasonable time frame to give them footage and IMBD credit. Offer to help them on their productions too.

The thing about producing an indie microbudget feature is, you aren't *just* making creative decisions. You're also the caterer. You're transpo. You're getting lodging and train tickets and planning meals. You're going to the grocery store. You're doing a metric ton of paperwork.
