Jessie Buckley just delivered the performance of a lifetime. I’ve never seen devastation, hopelessness and loss embodied so completely - I wanted to rip my heart out and hand it to her. The last 15 minutes of Hamnet made her eternal. The Oscar race isn’t close. She's taking it.

#Hamnet: an exceptional film. Zhao crafts a huge awards contender that certainly not showy in production/costumes etc, but has stunning visuals & gorgeous score. Film script is beautifully written + emotionally outstanding performances from cast. Had me + everyone in tears. #LFF

Hamnet....what is there to say? Chloe Zhao's guided meditation at the beginning was the calmest I felt in my life, then afterwards I was a sobbing mess. A beautiful book became a beautiful film. The ending was perfection. Stunning performances.

Chloé Zhao needs to take a bow. #Hamnet is phenomenal. The film floored me. It’s a breathtaking piece of filmmaking from start to finish. From the beautiful score to the sumptuous cinematography, the film is an emotional triumph. Jessie Buckley deserves an Oscar for this. #LFF
