Captured some scans under the SEM and FIB of the AMG8833 Grideye 8x8 thermal camera using our Open Beam Interface. The FIB milled out the rectangle, revealing in cross section wires looping around forming a thermistor. Under each pixel is a KOH etched void for thermal isolation.

Major fish nerd moment for me. A lifelong dream of mine fulfilled. I know this specimen is damaged and doesn’t look like much, but this is Ipnops, a species of grideye native to deep abyssal plains and continental shelves.

Today's fish is Grideye Spiderfish (Ipnops agassizii)! Their eyes have been modified into flat disks that are light sensitive, not unlike solar panels! This species has white eyes, but others in this genus are a striking yellow. 📸Asher Flatt, CSIRO, Rodolfo B. Reyes

I am thankful for the Ipnopidae - a family of spectacular deepwater fishes from the order Aulopiformes. Included in this family are the deepsea tripod fishes and the grideye fishes (AKA “blind lizardfishes”).

Day 18, Ipnops, the Grideye! This is one of my all time favourite deep sea fishes. We only got a few mangled specimens but it was still marvellous to see some. I talk about Ipnops a lot on here for someone who doesn’t study deep sea fishes.

Murray’s Grideye Fish (Ipnops murrayi - Order = Aulopiformes; Family = Ipnopidae {Deep-sea tripod fishes}) has eyes modified into flat and lenseless plaques that look like oblong radar dishes. The exact function of these modified eyes is still uncertain.

本日はI2Cセン��ーのドライバ 7個追加。GridEyeもいい感じにDriverとサンプルコード実装してくれてる。今日は2時間ほどで、Jetsonに7モジュール対応。
とりあえず、JetsonのJetPack6.2向けのPython Driver、10ハードウェア分、全部動作確認完了。コードの生成に3時間、テストと修正に1時間。ソースコードは一切目視確認せず。人間だと10ハード分のi2c driver自作に2ヶ月ぐらいかかる見積もりなので、4時間で完了。自動化の時代来る!
