Sven Fund presenting findings for @universitiesuk policy. An early mention of the need for exemptions in #oamonographs policy, eg trade vs non-trade books. Another Q from me: have they taken into account prior findings by @AcBookFuture ?

Answer from Sven Fund to my #oamonographs question – prior research including @AcBookFuture is noted in literature review, but this round is quantitative not qualitative

Jubb repeats a point he made at the #acbookfuture report launch: does every academic ‘book’ need *all* the services publishers provide? Could we be more granular? #redux18

@kreeve @timeshighered @britac_news @AcBookFuture I’m worried about what this will do to control the shape of research and publication, and whether this will stifle creativity.

@melissaterras @jfwinters @HEFCE For sure! Meanwhile, perhaps @HEFCE could also row back on any decision and listen to experts as captured by @AcBookFuture

@cccubookshop @AcBookWeek @AcBookFuture For the impression they made on me at crucial times, I'd have to go for Harper Lee's To kill a mockingbird & Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale, but a perhaps less well know writer that I have always loved is Lisa St Aubin de Teran - Slow train to Milan or Keepers of the House
