Animated Ratchet looks great for an ER Hoist retool. They changed quite a bit here, really feels like a unique mold. I personally think it matches the established style of the Legacy Animated updates quite well, this is another one I’ll get in stores.

Not much to say about Swerve, but he looks to be the best use of the Gears mold so far. I’ve always been a fan, especially of the Retro release, so this may be a pickup in stores if I see him. Another 1986 Minibot is down, only Tailgate to go! If only he wasn’t shortpacked…

MTMTE 86 Optimus looks fine. I think the retooling they did to the head and the grill sections looks nice, and the included chicken drumstick accessory is fun. But I don't know, I don't see the appeal. I really think it should have been Corpse Prime instead of this middle ground.

oh boy. Time for the controversial one. Nexus Prime… looks great. I fuck with it, so unbelievably much. I do think the jet mode is rough, but it looks good at an angle. Definitely gonna get this one. But it’s not all he can do…

Liege looks fine. Not much to say, other than the fact that he’s fucking HUGE. The alt mode reminds me of something, but I’m not sure what. I like the G2 inspired look, although I hope someone finds a way to arm mount the Darts. I don’t vibe with the missile launcher look…

MTMTE 86 Megatron looks underwhelming. The new grey legs and Gun That Killed Prime™️ are nice inclusions, but the battle damage just doesn't work for me. It's the same issue as Prime, I think it's too niche. I'd be more down for this if it was the Reformatting deco, to be honest.

I’m not sure how I feel about Prime Smokescreen. He looks good, way better than the first images from Hasbro Asia, but I’m just not sure it works. If he goes on sale or gets either a more G1 inspired deco (perhaps even a Barricade?) I could see myself getting him.

@ByTheAllspark @Maxmc552 Evan has gone on record to say he combines multiple times. In addition, Sideways didn’t show the head swapping gimmick either. There are so many indicators that he forms a torso, too. Nexus combines. They wouldn’t miss that.

His gimmicks are great too! I love that he has the alien mask from Hoist Goes Hollywood, and the “combined” gun mode is hilarious. He also has the opening chest gimmick, painted heart and all!

The fandom is beating Nexus’s ass like that one Hakari scene and I can’t help but think that I love him quite a lot and I’m willing to overlook his shortcomings
