the lead engineer for Ethereum is paid $105k a year, pre-tax, with no benefits, no raises, and no incentives ethereum has a market cap of $480b and the foundation recently sold $43m of $eth where is the money going?

@gphummer "First six whole years" is also a period of time during which the average price of Ether was ~10x less than today. This also ignores the offer Peter was given to spin out independent Geth with a large grant...

@gphummer there are obviously people trying to FUD but this doesn’t mean there isn’t a problem. peter and sandeep aren’t people that are going to fud. we just had a great researcher leaving. it seems there are still things to improve.

@gphummer Doesn’t matter if you were an intern or an “only” 100k dev starting in 2015 with the EF - you had the inside knowledge of buying $ETH sub 1 dollar. This alone was easily worth millions IF you believed in the mission!

Even more ironic is that people are praising Tomasz as new director and saying that old problems are over. It's so much worse. They fired 20 people on spot, some of the most senior contributors/researchers/leadersyou could easily compare to Peter. Same day notice, zero respect!!
