no translator has mentioned this yet but the musical actor who won the category before bangtan mentioned them going to grammys and said it gave him hope that he could go to the tonys ;-;
Grammys Boss Ken Ehrlich tells us about making up with Ariana Grande, clears up that Taylor Swift rumor and weighs in on Deborah Dugan’s explosive allegations against the academy
i just wish more people got to see this side of bts.... so much gets lost in translation but they're some of the best lyricists in the game. everyone deserves to experience the comfort and hope they provide
1. [+1,555, -63] He has so much charisma on stage but he looks like any unemployed hyung hanging around your town when he's off stage ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I'm a fan

ddaeng finally entered soundcloud USA top 50 for all music genres (47) and rap/hip-hop (45). hopefully being on these charts will give the song (and bts) good promo
this ranking for "who makes korea move" is just: current president, ex-president, samsung head, liberty party head, ex-president, ex-president, prime minister....... bts 😭
the fact that an i-army project that k-armys adopted is getting media coverage is so encouraging to me no matter how many failures. the more visible a movement is the greater chance of success it has
honestly fuck y'all,, crying under this tweet when you're the ones who did this. fancafe is supposed to be their safe space and you've completely abused that trust. and now jimin saw
armys have worked so unbelievably hard over the past two years to crack u.s. radio and get them to play non-english songs and then these other kpop groups come in and basically undo that work by setting a precedent with DJs that english songs are "easier to play"
BIG charts news for
@OfficialMonstaX
: "Who Do U Love?" has entered U.S. Pop Airplay radio charts! They are just the third-ever K-pop act to do so.
Find out how radio feels about the song and what's next in my report on
@Billboard
:
yes bts, quite literally one of the only artists left NOT doing any type of bundle, definitely deserved their own fucking section in the "top 10 most shameless schemes to game the billboard charts"

"The album’s opening week chart sales of 38,000 means it overtakes Eminem’s Music to Be Murdered By, which previously had the year’s biggest debut week with just over 36,000 units."
the closing of group fanbases and the rapid proliferation of those focused on 1 member has directly contributed to the disorganization of the fandom. there are too many disparate parts that now it's that much harder to communicate and work together effectively and efficiently
It’s single release week! Reading music boards, no one is predicting us to be able to do much with this single. I hope everyone is ready to show
#BTSArmy
power this weekend! So so so so excited for this new
@BTS_twt
single!
the way all these big outlets are putting out half-assed reviews but smaller outlets are actually going in depth and trying to understand bts' goal with this album
just imagine "bts' map of the soul: persona hits

jpn really treats bts as more of an intl group than a kpop group,, jpn shows always mention their worldwide success when talking abt them and their jpn promotions
nielsen called bts a "social media phenomenon" and mentioned their twitter interactions but not their top 10 hot100 hit but other groups get a breakdown of their hot100 entries????
bruh z100 basically just said like a whole love letter to armys 😦 they're said we're the nicest fans they've ever met and they've never in their whole careers received gifts from fans as thanks
Pod Save America is on! Fun fact: BTS were inspired to write their song Mic Drop after watching Obama's speech at the WH Correspondents' Dinner 🎤
#BTSonLSSC
stanning to me means putting in extra effort: streaming, voting, buying physical albums, participating in fandom projects etc. so by that measure i stan only one group. but that doesn't mean i listen to only them? i listen to plenty of music (most of it non-kpop)
joon's talking about tiger's influence on his own life here but i can't help but relate this to how i feel about bts. their life too will become an exhibition some day but their music and the influence they've had on me will be with me for the rest of my life
#DrunkenTigerxRM
they worked so hard for this and we did too. the endless phone calls to radio stations, buying 24 albums to make sure they get their first
#1
, endless voting and screaming their name so no one could ignore them. it was all for this
me seeing kpop fans panicking bc oh_mes was their only source of news while knowing armys have multiple trustworthy translators who translate the same things and don't invite hatred toward bts
that b/tsmint acc that posted the yoongi sasaeng expose thread is a sasaeng themselves. they used to be c/offeelled. they were the ones who posted that video of jimin with the staff in march and have posted numerous other videos of bts in their private time
r/kpop mods deciding a 2-sec dance that no one can recognize outside of kpop stans is more newsworthy than a korean song being played for a whole scene on u.s. cable tv has the same energy as them saying 1m preorders in japan isn't newsworthy bc bts already had 1m in korea
"I’ve learned, though, that being a fan of BTS means becoming intimately familiar with the many prejudices and hierarchies of taste that casually belittle the thing you love—and then deciding that none of it has any real power over you." Period.
U.S. armys: if you have the money, buy the album physical and digital. (if you don't, DM btschartdata your paypal link.) we don't have time to widen the gap with streams, so buying is more effective!
#ArmyStreamingFesta
will any kpop journalist stand up and talk about radio's gatekeeping of non-english artists (which directly affects their charting and longevity on said charts)? anyone?
accidentally fell into a solo stan nest.... after much observation i can make two conclusions:
1) solo stans are mostly kpop multis who dislike bts as a whole so they only support one member
2) they live off fansite and solo fanbase content bc they dislike bts as a whole (see 1)
if you look at the
#1
debuts from every week this year, the average number SPS is around 100k. bts is in that league now. if we get them that
#1
and end post's streak, the industry will have to pay attention. THIS is the headline. THIS will be what's talked about
5. [+280, -3] BTS, are they rookies? Looks like they’ll break bones with that dance. They’re doing their best even at the top of the world. Wow, awesome.
can bighit use some of that bangtan money they love throwing around to do something useful and get bts an international team to do simple tasks like i don't know fix their spotify pages
