When RMIT decided to junk a rare, $160k weaving loom, a group of artists, teachers and students united to rescue it. The story of this loom felt like a snapshot of everything that’s wrong with how we treat arts and crafts in tertiary ed, so I wrote this https://t.co/ecehiF6z2c

Yesterday I informed the @slqld @QldLitAwards of my disgust at the news @1KarenWyld’s black&write! fellowship had been rescinded after interference from the Qld Minister for the Arts John-Paul Langbroek in a clear attempt to punish a Blak writer for speaking on Palestine.

Sometimes in this job there are issues that really get under your skin. Subminimum wages for people w disability is one of them for me. So it was great to do this story on a new campaign from Down Syndrome Australia to urge govt to finally get rid of them https://t.co/i1rlyhOIXS

I have been wanting for a long time to write about the semi-covert network of people (mostly women) who feed, desex, treat and try to rescue stray cats in urban Australia. Finally did. Here it is. https://t.co/5CLDSYmiDl

A tribunal has questioned whether it is lawful for the National Disability Insurance Agency to require that participants provide renewed evidence of their eligibility before revoking their access, describing the approach as “troubling”. New from me today: https://t.co/QKlOr8xp1K

For gods sake @abcnews! A plan by Israel to besiege Palestinians in the north of Gaza & starve them of food is not ‘controversial.’ It is ILLEGAL. It is a WAR CRIME. It is COLLECTIVE PUNISHMENT. https://t.co/MSSYvpznUe
