On a job in Kent and the owner pulls out a

programme from 1974 and tells me his grandfather (surname Hewitt) played for the club back in the 1920’s and his great uncle was chairman! Small world!

That’s not a programme it’s a book. The original history of the club, really interesting actually. Not many copies of it about anymore. What was the great-uncle called?

I’ve still got one of these books along with some programmes from the 70’s and 80’s. Great to see these pieces of New Mills AFC history still turning up!
