I'm all for cheaper taxis, interesting food and, err... more nail bars, but if the price for that is that c. 70% of said guests are not net-contributors, and >15% are wholly unemployed; AND we further impoverish our existing poor... what, exactly IS the point and benefit?
Brexit was supposed to control immigration, lift pay and lower welfare.
Instead, net migration trebled and we may soon have the worst welfare crisis in history.
This was by all accident, not design.

Mass immigration is not, itself, the problem. The issue is failing to keep up with housing supply, public service provision and welfare reform. All can be done with enough political will.
