3 - Georgia has 2 massive advantages on the offensive end: 1- FSU allows a ton of points off the fast break and Georgia is #1 in percentage of points scored off fast break. 2- FSU is 313th in Opponent OREB % and Georgia is 37th in OREB %. Georgia should crash the glass well.

2- Florida State shoots a TON of threes. Their 3 point rate is #4 in the nation. It will be key for Georgia to prevent these 3 point shots.

Observations based on the matchup: 1 - This is going to be a fast paced game. Florida State has actually played at a faster pace than Georgia so far so this game will be up and down.

Yea I agree here. He definitely does affect a lot of shots and that’s key to our defense. I think we will see some improvement as the year goes on.

3 - Wilkinson also needs to show some improvement on the offensive and defensive glass. He is too athletic to be last on the team in both categories.

2 - Somto has been great on the offensive boards, but he needs to be better on the defensive glass. He is averaging only 5.58 defensive rebounds per 40 minutes. That is 6th on the team and behind Blue Cain.

1 - Dylan James has been the team's best rebounder, and it is not close. He is averaging about three more rebounds per 40 minutes than anyone else.

Georgia has struggled some rebounding this year so I wanted to see how each induvial player has been doing and this is what I found for the 11 rotation players.

1 - A clear top 2 (Wilkinson and Cain) are separating themselves as Georgia's leading scorers. 2 - I would expect an increase in scoring from Smurf and Stagg as the year goes on. Smurf will start shooting the ball better, and I expect Stagg's playing time to increase.

My two main takeaways: 1 - We need more from Kanon Catchings and better shot selection from him. 2 - Stagg needs more minutes. Mike White obviously trusts him to close games, so I'm not sure why he does not get more minutes.

Some UGA fans freaking out over this loss but I do not see it that way. Obviously tough to lose a winnable game but this was against a solid ACC team. It does put more pressure on the Cincy/FSU games though.

Georgia falls to Clemson 97-94. Tough loss for Georgia as they had chances to win that one. Georgia just was not able to force turnovers in the 2nd half and lost the turnover battle 14-10.
