First day of the preorder of the Purple Pigeon collab runner with @staplepigeon is a wrap and man the support has been awesome. Despite little to no mainstream coverage this release has still been a success thanks to the strength of all you guys. So thank you. 🙏 For those still

Long post coming, so skip if you don't care to read. This year has been surreal in many ways. At the beginning of the year, I had the sudden urge to call @MyFirstKicksPod and tell him its our year. I was riding this high coming home from the @unheardofbrand building bridges

I don’t have any real conclusions for this, other than I’m excited for what 2026 has to offer. That’s honestly the best part. None of us know what’s coming, but this year proved that the landscape is wide open.

@MACHE275 and Staple collaborating for a project just further stamps that independent brands should be and are being taken seriously. I hope that in 2026 more sneakerheads are willing to give them a chance. Their work shows there’s room for creativity outside the big brands.

Independent brands like @JohnGeiger_ really solidified their spot! His run with the 004 and the 005 which just released puts him in territory that is far from one hit wonder. He now should be remembered for having a legitimate sneaker brand.

Nike somehow still managed to have the biggest moments of the year and feel underwhelming at the same time. That may be a personal opinion but they had a lot of bangers but it just felt like the entire year it was more about what brands were making noise and catching up.

Adidas was my favorite brand this year. They really hit on things that matter greatly to me. Storytelling and meaningful collaborations. Being the first major company to sign a podcast also has big implications for next year. I’m interested to see what they do.

Salomon, in my opinion had some of the craziest collabs to end the year. They seemed to finally regain some steam after going seemingly quiet in the first part of the year.

New Balance is a legacy brand but it felt like a quiet ending to the year outside of JoeFreshGoods. It’ll be interesting to see what Salehes role will be there soon especially with how many other projects he has going on and starting his own line.

Sauconys collaboration decisions have paid off ten fold. Their collaborators have brought light to models that were previously underappreciated. Jae Tips and Westside Gunn helped them to finish the year strong.
