unfortunately the whole anti-censorship thing often leads people to idolizing or justifying interesting behaviors for the sake of combatting censorship and treat it like activism. though tbf some also do that for the opposite as well.

this is also why i would love to see the next season set up a smaller storyline for louis that isn’t just him being with lestat romantically bc as much as i love that. lestat is presumably gonna be spending a lot of screen time off doing his own thing.
louis is my fave & loustat is the only ship im rly invested in but iwtv would be ass if it dropped the complex messy relationship dynamics in tvl to focus on loustat being happy & together. it’s the loustat show but loustat aren’t loustat w/o gabrielle & marius & armand, etc.

idk why it’s controversial to say you probably aren’t going to enjoy the show as much if you’re tunnel vision on loustat. like theres nothing wrong with that! but it’s true.
