Really sad that Hockey Ireland can't find even a small sum to part fund the national team representing their country And the governing body.
Delighted to be part of Irish Womens Indoor Hockey team competing at the European Champs this week in Spain Jan 20-24th. As players we cover all costs of the program, our coaches are volunteers and we receive no financial support from our governing body.

This (very emotional!) thread is a reminder of why the no10 gatherings have enraged so many who don’t consider themselves ‘political’. Everyone has a stake in this political story unlike others before; people made huge sacrifices in the understanding everyone was in it together

Interesting stuff! Re schools in Ulster, seems they still 'trump' clubs in some instances. Eg, schools had first call for Bfs Harlequins in away game in Limerick. In other provinces, eg Leinster, coordination rules with vast majority of school games now midweek.

First saw Sarah T as an unknown v Belfast Harlequins few years ago. Scored all five goals! Told then Ireland manager, Arlene Boyles, what I'd seen. Brilliant to see ST now doing so well!
