I'll respectfully disagree with BMG, you can spend as much time as you like studying Louis and his brand, but this award, it wasn't you. Fans ran many campaigns to get that number one. Donations, marathons, people spending ALL THE TIME helping others buy the album.
Yes it was a team effort, a team made up of
@Louis_Tomlinson
and the amazing album he put out (which I agree you may have helped) and the most amazing fandom in this world who were dedicated enough to buy boxes and boxes of the album just to get this to Louis.
I do think you have to step up your game related to marketing. But we appreciate how comfortable and happy Louis seems to be with you guys. And of course, how well the BMG team is treating him. But don't get confused. Fans are still doing the biggest job in promoting the album.
I wish the entire team at BMG nothing but the best, but to say that you are doing an incredible job in marketing I think that's a bit of an exaggeration. Louis is an amazing singer with so much potential and we,
as fans, want to all our hearts, to see his incredible talent to get in every tiny place in this whole fucking big world! And we are more than open to discuss marketing with you. As Louis said, no one understands him more than his fans.
@soppysomers
Agree 100% They just did a few tweets, but the work fans did, it's fucking mindblowing, we prove just not for Louis, but for ouserlves that we are capable to take him to the top if we try hard enough!!
@faithinourlouis
I agree with you. In the quotes I saw, BMG gave themselves a big pat on the back. Great. What irks me is they didnโt mention the fans at allโpeople who spent days and $$$ to help make this happen. BMG, happy for all youโre doing for our Louis but donโt forget our huge role too
@sensingchaos
Yeah, they said that they spent an year studying and all, but I don't see that big of a difference in marketing stuff... It's like, I see Louis Portals on twitter working 10 times harder than his label
@rilouhd
They basically said that they did a good job on the promotion of the album, that they spent an year studying louis, his brand and the fans to do thing work and all... But I don't see they doing anything marketing related, that number
#1
was all the fans
