An in-universe explanation of Missingno: Its the prototype to Porygon, and because Missingno doesnt have a physical form, it explains why it takes on two fossils and the ghost, as it uses memories from the player. And Cinnabar was where Ditto was born.

Gary caused the gyms to be banned from the people who close down gyms. He is stronger than Ash because he actually fought the gyms (Ash won with flukes, Gary won with strategy).

Kabu is Flannery’s uncle who suddenly quit his Gym and left for Galar in Hoenn which is why Flannery had to suddenly take the mantle. It’s even stated that Kabu is from Hoenn.
