Two alder necks with ebony fretboards. They’ll be on very different guitars later, but I like how they’re staring so similarly. #EquitzGuitars

Scars, knots and other imperfections make me happy. To quote Eric Hollenbeck from @blueoxmillworks (The Crafstman on @magnolianetwork), “the tree was perfect”… so what would be considered a flaw is really just part of its story. “Perfect” pieces are no fun. #equitzguitars

This one is finally done. It had been stalled by unexpected delays, but I’m excited to send it off to its owner in Chicago. . Thanks to all who have supported me this far, especially with the year we’ve all had. Forward and onward, good people! #AshfordGuitar #EquitzGuitars

This Ashford has been patiently waiting while I had an unexpected pause in my schedule late last year. It feels so good to be back catching up on builds. The folks on my build list are the most patient customers in the world, and I’m so thankful. #AshfordGuitar #EquitzGuitars

Here’s a quick demo of Molly’s Ashford with the @righteoussound and @gunstreetwiringshop electronics, plugged straight into a Blues Jr. with a @sinasoid slate cable. #EquitzGuitars #AshfordGuitar

One last photo of this one, as it’s on its way home to LA. These Righteous Sound Pickups sound amazing, and the wiring from Gunstreet Wiring Shop sure saved the day. Video coming soon. #EquitzGuitars #AshfordGuitar

Carving the top of this Ashford with my great-grandfather’s tools. It’s been a huge honor to inherit tools like these from some pretty amazing people in my family, so I make sure to incorporate them as much as possible. #equitzguitars #ashfordguitar

This is my dad, shaping transitions on the neck of his own guitar. When my folks came out to visit, he was able to press his own frets, and carve the neck using his grandfather’s tools too. This one will have some deep connections, and I’m grateful to include him in the process.

Built with wreckage from the Nashville tornado, his lefty is now good to go. With all that’s happened this year, it was important to me to try making something good with the what this year has thrown our way. Special thanks to @gunstreetwiringshop for the perfect wiring harness
