After more than 3 years working in global communications agencies, I made the decision to quit and grow @frenchtogether with @BenjaminHouy We gave Germany a year, but we both came to the same conclusion: it’s just not the most conducive environment for running a business. Too

A few weeks ago I shut down my GEO tool Lorelight—a decision that sparked debate across the SEO world. I just did my first podcast explaining: → Why I killed a working product → What analyzing hundreds of AI responses taught me about brand building → Why "GEO strategy" is

The mental gymnastics needed for Europeans to claim the high ground on free speech are worthy of an Olympian gold medal 🥇
NEW - Germany's Merz (CDU) filed thousands of criminal complaints against citizens for alleged online insults against him; some led to police searches of their homes. https://t.co/BcUvZTzCo7

Just because you don't like a person/country/ideology doesn't mean there is nothing to learn from them. We would all be doing a lot better if we could leave ideology aside and learn from what works (and doesn't work) elsewhere.
@soerenlindhoff @dhh @MaMoMVPY You are right, these are real issues the US needs to address. But just because the US has issues doesn't mean we can't do better and address our own failures too. Healthcare, welfare etc, require money. If we continue the current trajectory, there won't be any soon. We can learn

Anyone who wants to gain a deeper understanding of the semiconductor industry and its geopolitical implications should read “Chip Wars” by Chris Miller. I’m more than halfway through and just knowing how chips in devices like cars, planes and computers work is really cool.

Chuck is such an underrated show. It’s a hybrid romcom/spy show with the feelgood vibes of Gilmore Girls.

In my mid 20s I was friends (platonic) with this guy (who I thought was really old, but he wasn't lol) who was late 30s. He was uber successful, and had a huge loft space on Wall Street. We'd go out and socialize and I would occasionally stay in his guest room afterward. He had

Whenever I see programmer salary numbers from Europe, I always have to do a double take. It's hard to fathom that we work in the same industry. With bonuses this year, many of our folks are at $400,000+, and we're not even in any AI-hype sector.

A month ago, I shut down Lorelight. Today, @emerald_springs and I are rebranding French Together to Copycat Café. Two very different decisions. Same lesson underneath them both. With Lorelight, I spent 7 months building a tool for a problem that didn't need solving. GEO

🇪🇺 Something is finally happening! EU is: - scaling down the GDPR (data privacy laws) - watering down the AI Act (more like AI Ban), and - finally removing the Cookie Banner laws This gets us a bit closer to the top eu/acc ideas being reached https://t.co/fU2jmU91xL
My hope is, they repeal all of Thierry's evil work now he's gone: - Repeal the DMA (aka Annoy Europeans Act) - Repeal theDSA (aka the EU Censorship Act) - Repeal the AI Act (aka the EU AI Ban)

Today’s Kafkaesque odyssey requiring us to reach the remotest parts of Düsseldorf just to send a DHL Express letter means @BenjaminHouy and I had a great workout, at least!

One advantage of having many distinct sovereign nations instead of a single world government is that they can try different policies and we can see which work best.

Most likely incoming Dutch PM “It is up to us to show talented entrepreneurs that this the best place for start-ups and scale-ups.” Leaders in Europe should work with this positive mindset: make their talent thrive right in Europe Let’s go! 🇪🇺
"It is up to us, a new generation, to carry our European flag with pride. We are a beacon of freedom and human dignity in a world on fire. Europe is the most beautiful place on earth"💪🇳🇱🇪🇺 Rob Jetten, chosen yesterday by the Dutch as their probable next PM, speaking last year👇

Europe would do well to follow Gates on this pivot. The EU is responsible for just 6% of global emissions, but still thinks it's saving the planet by sorting and washing trash by hand, forgoing AC, or deleting emails (lol). Climate doomerism is degrowth nonsense in a nutshell.
Today, Bill Gates admitted that pushing climate doomerism was a mistake. @LLBiggers: “That shift to common sense is welcome, but it comes after decades of fearmongering that harmed young people, stalled development, and punished dissenting scientists.”
