Determinism-based free will denial is just a relic of dualistic thinking imo. It's like saying "I didn't make that decision, my atoms did". You are your atoms!
Anti-free-will people have to stop leaning on determinism. It's perhaps the most wrong that an argument can be. 1) The world is not deterministic. Quantum mechanics exists. When there is hidden determinism (MWI, Bohm), it's hidden! Irrelevant to what people experience. (1/n)

Unmodified humans went obsolete with the development of tools and agriculture, and more so with the development of writing and education; they all count as human-enhancement technology so it is extremely unclear to me how we are all not considered transhumanists.

I've been working on #genuary2022 day 6, inspired by @ella_hoeppner's work on the General Smoke Algorithm. The results are just beautiful. There's a lot I'd like to explore with this, more to come.

@ks445599 Oh nvm the pattern is finite! That's even more impressive 🤯 So the finite pattern in that screenshot can never be constructed by anything but itself regardless of grid size. They actually mention that this rules out a universal constructor in the post.
