Trump's plan to hand Ukrainian territory to Putin would not bring peace. It would be the greatest reward for aggression in living memory, and only lead to more Russian aggression in Ukraine and across Eastern Europe.

Trump still seems to think his job is to get President Zelenskyy to cave to Putin’s demands. Keir Starmer must show real resolve and persuade him that it’s about strengthening Ukraine and weakening Putin so he accepts Europe’s terms.

It’s clear Putin doesn’t want peace. Trump’s attempt to sweet talk him into a deal has failed, so it’s time for Trump to finally get tough. The UK should seize Russian assets to help Ukraine today, and press the US to do the same.

Whatever Putin and Trump stitch up in Alaska, Europe stands with Ukraine. Their fight is our fight.

80 years ago today saw the end of the Second World War and victory over the forces of fascism. On the anniversary of VJ Day, we honour all those who fought in Asia and the Pacific in defence of our democracy and our freedom. We will not forget.

If Trump sells out Ukraine, Britain must lead a coalition of the willing to defend our continent without him.

Netanyahu’s plan to occupy Gaza is abhorrent and it's increasingly clear that his goal is ethnic cleansing. The UK can't just sit on its hands. The Prime Minister must stop all arms exports to Israel and sanction Netanyahu and his cabinet.

Netanyahu’s reprehensible proposal to occupy all of Gaza will only further devastate Gazans and endanger the hostages still held by Hamas. The Prime Minister must urgently pick up the phone to President Trump and press him to make Netanyahu abandon this plan.

Closer ties with Europe would revive our economy, boost our NHS and farming, and restore faith in politics. Starmer must seize this chance to show the public there’s a better way forward than the nasty, nonsensical “solutions” of Nigel Farage.
