In the thread below 𧡠One of the photos that didn't make it into my latest video. Looking at it now, it probably deserves to be in there, but I did have some crackers to choose from. If you have a moment, check out the BTS of shooting this on Nisabost:

I'm still in two minds whether the visual flow works overall, but it's still my favourite image from my autumn trip to Assynt and Coigach. If I reedit, I would bring out more contrast in the tonal changes to highlight the repeating patterns and bring the eye back to the subjects.

Just found out I was shortlisted for #hpoty two weeks after the winner was announced. Saves disappointment this way round, I suppose π

π§΅Big thanks to those of you who have watched: https://t.co/VRptAmGTXP Had comments on the sound. I'm pleased it didn't go unnoticed. Sound layering obsessed me for this project. The screenshot below is my timeline for this video. Sometimes the audio is 6 tracks thick.

You don't know how how annoying your voice is until you spend 80 hours editing footage of yourself π I'm fairly happy with the atmosphere of this vlog though. Loads still to learn, but worth the effort to document my Scottish landscape photography trip https://t.co/vhj3lzYMqS
