We just made updates to the Windows 11 PC Health Check App. It now provides more detailed info on requirements not met. This should help in cases where folks assumed CPU compat issues were TPM related
Microsoft: Your app must be installed in the Program Files folder by default
Also Microsoft: "%LocalAppData%\PCHealthCheck\PCHealthCheck.exe"
UK National Cyber Security Center: Users should not be allowed to run programs from areas where they are permitted to write files

Thanks for quickly adressing this!
Is there a chance we could have improvements for domain joined machines? Even when ran as an administrator it just tells you to ask the IT admin.
@dwizzzleMSFT
Does the presence of a physical TPM make any difference for CPU compatibility?
Ex: 6th or 7th Gen Intel with add on TPM. The use case is DIY.

@mniehaus
u need to further clarify the soft vs hard floor requirements. this tool is upsetting people. TPM 1.2 owners and procs below 8th gen etc. should get the "u can install but not advised" warning perΒ unless that document is bogus.
