I feel like I have to make this post, because I've been told that someone is disappointed that I've blocked them and decided to call me "fake" and saying it's a shame they've ever supported me, when anyone around me knows this has always been my stance.

I want to clarify one more thing about this should-have-never-been "drama": although I don't have a Discord server and my "community", if we can so call it, is pretty much restricted to Twitch, you are not welcome within it if you lack respect towards art and those behind it.

If you're the original artist, meaning you're the owner of a piece, then you're free to trace it into the game, but it gets tricky when you port someone else's work to GD with no permission. We have a creative community, we don't need to stumble on the basics every month or so.

I have seen many cases of tracing uncredited art, but they were a "one-off situation", such as someone tracing Eddie's character from chervil/doginacafe comics and using them in the endscreen — they proceeded to credit the artist after they were called out for it.

A lot of people seem to think this tweet is directly targeting the person that traced the art, but Destriv never actually mentioned them — in fact, they actually self-reported. More people need to realize that tracing art that you have no ownership of can cause issues.
