If you’re thinking that maybe Farage and Trump might have a point, or maybe it’s not all that unreasonable, take 40 mins of your life to listen to this and then think about it, rather than relying on 30seconds of click bait to help you form an opinion.

@ProfRobHoward You’d think Wes could find one that wasn’t a Labour peer — not that this context noted by Sky. Wheels out a “top doc” ✅ “My door is always open” pantomime ✅ Merciless number-torturing ✅ Next step in the Hunt playbook is a letter from chief lackeys: watch this space.

REMINDER: Have tweeted a lot about this previously. But when PAY is DOWN, PENSION linked to that pay is also DOWN. So you *cant* fix this by robbing Peter (pension) to pay Paul (pay). You are both Peter and Paul so you cant rob your future self to fund pay rises. *Not* fair
@MerrynSW @bbcquestiontime 4/ Because pension is linked to pay, huge erosion of their pay = huge erosion of pension. So you *cannot* fix pay by robbing their pension. It doesnt work - any attempt to force this through will lead "RLE" =retire, leave, emigrate #DontRobPetertoPayPaul

Reading the comments after Polly Toynbee’s Guardian article. One commentator says barely anyone’s pay has caught back up to 2008 levels. In CPI terms the opposite has happened and the average worker (despite the public sector being included in those numbers) has more than done so

@wesstreeting You’ve said very clearly you won’t negotiate on pay… Patients will be in no doubt who is to blame for this chaos.

@wesstreeting You’ve said multiple times that you refuse to negotiate on pay. The BMA’s door remains open for meaningful talks. But you haven’t stepped through it once since the dispute began. The uplifts took doctors from £14/hr to £18.62/hr. We’re asking for £22.67/hr - and not even all at

Government know they have the power to prevent strikes with a fair offer Reeves described the last deal as a “drop in the ocean” comparing the £350million cost to reach a deal against the £1.7 BILLION cost of industrial action Streeting needs to get round the negotiating table
