In this issue of @Nature, we identified a new class of signaling molecules: host-modified microbial metabolites. While microbial metabolites are known to influence host physiology, this study shows how we co-evolved to balance the signaling by microbiota.

I will be starting my lab at @WeillCornell this fall! My research is at the intersection of immunology, microbiology and chemical biology, focusing on understanding the impact of nutrition and microbiota on inflammation and immunity. Will be hiring soon at all levels!
