Happy to see this work from my PhD finally published! I hope this small contribution can inform future studies that benefit the Atahualpa population, and perhaps more studies on local adaptations to diet in other populations as well.
Signatures of natural selection may indicate a genetic basis for the beneficial effects of oily fish intake in indigenous people from coastal Ecuador

Two new preprints from my group today---this one was led by @Dandan_Peng with an assist from Obadiah Mulder. Dandan benchmarked a bunch of leading ARG-estimation methods with respect to a specific goal (1/n)

Dandan also did general benchmarking in the vein of @deboraycb's recent work, adding some new methods that have been introduced since their paper (8/8)

I also urge you never to use SciHub, whose purpose is to serve science, and instead continue to willingly embrace the scam that is commercial academic publishing, whose primary purpose is to maximise profit for private companies.
Don't use Sci-Hub — it's a "controversial" website with 84M+ research papers freely available. We should try to make billion-dollar academic publishers richer. Here's an updated thread on integrating Sci-Hub with Zotero to get free papers. Please don't do this😉

Here is a detailed thread about SINGER (thanks @yun_s_song for putting it together!). I will keep improving SINGER and developing new ARG inference/applications methods. Feedbacks/critiques are welcome, and they can be incorporated into our future works!
We are delighted to share our work on a robust, accurate method for sampling genome-wide genealogies (aka ARGs) from the full posterior distribution. This is a product of years of hard work by @YunDeng5, who is jointly advised by @ras_nielsen and me. https://t.co/BIDUnV8OeL 1/n

Very nice to see this work out w/ some of my closest colleagues! To reach broader audience and improve accessibility, not only is @GenomeBiolEvol open access, we also translated the abstract to Chinese, Portuguese, and Spanish! Here's the Chinese version (I had lots of help!!)
