Limerick loves its buses as study after study from @LimerickCouncil and @TFIupdates has shown. The appetite for improvements in service is incredibly strong. We’ll happily take the full #BusConnectsLimerick programme asap!.

Special thanks to @ConorSheehan93 who has championed this at national level and @mariadonoghue24 who has been doggedly pushing for this much needed service. 🙏.

Here’s the motion passed at the Transport SPC that helped move things along. Huge credit to Cllr Teefy our chair, the new Transport Director and to all the members of the SPC for giving it the push it needed to help deliver for our community.

The new timetable for the 304a starts on July 27th! . It gives it a nice run in to bed the service down in advance of the schools returning at the end of next month. It’s also the first green shoots of expanded services coming in #BusConnectsLimerick in the coming years.

This improved bus timetable for the 304a will service the new schools such as @mungretcc the Gaelscoil and Educate Together. This is a major improvement for the communities living in the area and a much improved transport link for the kids going to school here.

Council meetings must be streamed and recorded. The public deserves transparency. Bad behaviour from some cllrs needs to be seen and the serious work of those doing the job properly needs to be heard. If you’re embarrassed to show the meeting, the problem isn’t the livestream.

Thanks to the team at NTA HQ for the briefing yesterday. Limerick has seen a 100% increase in TFI Bikes usage this year – the highest of any city!. Delighted to see @LimerickCycling feedback being taken on board, with the scheme now set to expand into the suburbs by next summer.
